In 1776 Virginia found itself in a battle for control of the Colony. Royal Governor Lord Dunmore controlled the waterways and the fledgling Virginia State navy was all that stood between Lord Dunmore's naval fleet and the growing number of loyalist privateers patrolling the waterways.
The Captain Baron of the James River successfully foiled several attempts made by Dunmore to expand his forces and control the bay by using ships and quick raids. Only the vigilant Virginia State Navy can foil his plans.
