Hey, y’all remember that Karaoke Chronicles showcase we do from time to time? Y'know, it’s the one that’s ridiculously Black, incredibly talented, and we even let y’all sign up to do karaoke in between acts??

Yeah, you know the one and it's back! Like, BACK back. For The Culture is back with our first IRL showcase in 20 months! Join us on October 22 for Haunted Karaoke Chronicles at Club Cumming (505 E. 6th St. New York, NY 10009)

Haunted Karaoke Chronicles is a virtual hybrid* showcase. An evening of talented comedians, burlesque artists, musicians, and karaoke Experience the comedy, burlesque, and Blackness of Haunted Karaoke Chronicles irl at Club Cumming** or virtually on our Twitch channel. Oh and the karaoke is hybrid too; register to perform karaoke virtually or IRL!!

Burlettiquette

All For The Culture shows feature burlesque acts. In case you’ve never been to a burlesque show before, here are some handy tips for everyone to have a spectacular time

1. Tip the talent

-The first rule part of this rule is easy: Whenever an adored body part appears or a detested article of clothing disappears, throw some money!

-Ok but how do you throw money? Great question; glad you asked! The best method is to crumple your money and toss it near the performer. Please DO NOT TRY AND PEG THE PERFORMER WITH TIPS

-Accuracy is dope, but this isn’t target practice, shug. We know you want to make sure the talent .

-Though some audience members get fancy and, like, fold their bills into origami masterpieces and stuff before tipping. If that’s who you want to be then who are we to stop you??

2. Nothing’s sexier than consent

- always ask before touching

3. Vocal engagement is highly appreciate

Clap it up like y’all on Family Feud everytime you see something enjoyable! The more energy y’all give our performers, the more they’ll show tf for y’all.

But of course, no heckling. Don’t yell no mess like “Take if off!”. Don’t be the guy.
