About this Event
Join music students and Southampton Centre for Music Education and Social Justice for a welcoming, participatory workshop where you can make music together for Uri Agnon's interactive piece, created for the Harmonies of Home: A Community Song Bank project.
This workshop is open to everyone - no singing experience or music reading is required. Through a short collective performance, participants will explore ideas of home and freedom, engaging with rhythm, melody, and sound in a relaxed and inclusive environment.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with others, experiment with musical ideas, and contribute to a unique community music project.
The workshop encourages curiosity, creativity, and shared expression, allowing participants to experience the joy of making music together.
By the end of the session, the group will come together to perform the piece, creating a memorable and interactive musical experience that reflects the voices and perspectives of all involved.
Bring your enthusiasm, your voice, your story - come and make music, connect with others, and explore the meaning of home and freedom through sound!
