For Palestine, With Love brings together a remarkable lineup of artists whose work bridges cultures, traditions, and generations of resilience.
Led by celebrated sitarist Mohamed Assani, the Mohamed Assani Quartet pushes the boundaries of South Asian music while honouring its roots. Assani’s genre-defying compositions and the ensemble’s dynamic interplay create a sound both virtuosic and transcendent — described by Vinyl Chapters as “nothing short of mesmeric.” The group includes Curtis Andrews (drums/percussion), Gurdit Singh (tabla) and Jeanse Le Doujet (electric bass).
The acclaimed duo Ramani x Franche-Nolan weave Hindustani classical and contemporary jazz into an intimate, exploratory conversation between voice and piano. Their performances are meditative, spontaneous, and deeply moving, reflecting the emotional power of cross-cultural collaboration.
Opening the evening, Syrian oud player and singer Mouhannad El E’ek offers a soulful journey through Arab musical traditions, his playing steeped in both mastery and longing.
Enjoy food from Syrian caterers Tayybeh and browse handcrafted works by Serene Seasons Creations, both available for purchase at the concession.
The event is entirely volunteer-led, with the artists generously donating their performances in solidarity with the people of Palestine. Together with proceeds from ticket sales (including optional added donations), food, and craft purchases, 100% of funds raised will support Palestinian-led initiatives in Gaza.
* As conditions on the ground evolve, donation recipients will be confirmed closer to the event to ensure funds reach those with direct access to provide aid.
