About this Event

Classy comedy for grown-ups! Abigail Paul and Ben MacLean present 30 minutes each of their best bits at an early evening show in a cozy cocktail bar in Friedrichshain.

Some things genuinely get better with age. Abigail Paul and Ben MacLean are proof. Two comedians who have collected enough material from life to fill a room with laughter. Sharing comedy inspired by a couple extra decades of experience on this earth, they glide from wisecrack to wise counsel. You'll be home by 10, after you've laughed like you're out past curfew. All ages welcome. Just don't expect any TikTok dances.

Abigail Paul:

American comedian Abigail Paul, self-proclaimed “smart mouth,” accidentally self-deported to Germany 24 years ago and turned her BBC award-nominated bad childhood into a comedy career. Trading Florida’s swamps for Frankfurt’s skyscrapers, she came for the schnitzel, stayed for the human rights. Described by critics as wickedly dark, honest and vibrant, she was compared to Kathryn Hahn for her stage presence and given a five-star review from Theatre Weekly for her Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2023. She holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Central Florida.

Ben MacLean:

Ben MacLean has over 30 million views online and is celebrating twelve years of hosting and performing standup – not to mention over a decade of terrorizing Berliners with his rural Canadian friendliness. Ben performs in English, German and French and is the world’s only diplomat turned comedian. His one-of-a-kind LinkedIn profile also includes stints as a gay fetish model and flight attendant. Add to this the reality TV-like experience of growing up the youngest of seven, and he’s been blessed with lots of material. In addition to doing shows in L.A., Cape Town and Tokyo, he was invited to perform at Berlin's Quatsch Comedy Club and was a semifinalist in the U.K.’s prestigious “So You Think You’re Funny?” competition.
