Building on our July Read In Session featuring James Baldwin's 1953 essay Stranger in the Village and selected poems by Nikki Giovanni, we'll gather to screen their iconic 1971 conversation from WNET's SOUL!. Together, Baldwin and Giovanni explore love, identity, struggle, Black life, and the responsibilities of artists and intellectuals.

Following the screening, we'll close with a community conversation. No prior reading is required—simply bring your curiosity, reflections, and energy.
