It's a rip roarin, mind bendin, finger snapping, tear jerking good time!
This 1976 work by Ntozake Shange. The second play by a black female author to run on Broadway, consists of a series of poetic monologues accompanied by dance movements and music, a form which Shange coined as a choreopoem. Capturing the brutal, tender and dramatic lives of contemporary Black women, for colored girls... offers a transformative, riveting evening of provocative dance, music and poetry.
