About this Event
Brought to you by V² Productions and Teresa Jackson
For a Dream is a heartfelt and honest new play that follows two best friends and roommates, De and Lettie, as they wrestle with the push and pull of reality versus ambition. With one grounded in survival and the other lifted by joy and hope, their opposing views on life—and how to escape their small town for a future in Atlanta—challenge their bond and force them to make life-changing decisions.

V² Productions: The Power of Two Vs
Valeka and Vallea met during a powerhouse production of Intimate Apparel at Actor’s Express, directed by Drama League Fellow Ibi Owolabi. From the very beginning, the connection was undeniable. The two actresses shared a deep commitment to their craft, working diligently to bring their characters to life. Their performances stood out — they were the only two cast members nominated for Suzi Bass Awards for their roles.
Their artistic synergy continued at Synchronicity Theatre, where Valeka directed In the Continuum and Vallea served as production manager. The collaboration was seamless. They discovered a shared ambition that extended beyond performance — a desire to build something of their own, rooted in creative freedom, financial excellence, and a refusal to wait on traditional systems to grant them access.
That opportunity came when Amber Tai, of the viral Kountry Wayne series, reached out to Valeka to direct her father’s play Love Won’t Let Me Wait by T.J. Hemphill. Valeka’s immediate response: “Only if Vallea joins me.” The duo went on to co-produce a sold-out run that packed the house night after night.
From there, V² Productions was born — a creative force redefining how theater is made and produced. Grounded in bold storytelling, business acumen, and sisterhood, Vallea and Valeka are not only building stages — they’re building legacy. Their mission: to create impactful, high-quality productions that challenge the status quo and spark cultural shifts, in Atlanta and beyond.
The Vs are here. And the vision … FABULOUS
