Foothills Farm Fest

FARM HOP:

You’ll take a private tour of 3 of Boulder County’s most up and coming farms including Elk Run. Metacarbon Organic Farm, and Historic Allen’s Farm meeting the farmers that have a vision to replant the garden of Eden.

Learn about permaculture, the cross pollination between indigenous wisdom and scientific rigor rooted in traditional land management practices, founded on 12 principles and 3 ethics that can apply both to land and human systems. Learn about how sustainable is so last year. Regenerative farming utilizes traditional ancient land, water, crop, and livestock management techniques to replenish rather than deplete soil and food nutrients.

The climate is changing and we need to learn how to adapt and restore instead of extract and deplete.

FARM FEST:

Located at the historic Yellow Barn, our local festival is packed full of fun activities for kids and adults where we will learn how to preserve the fall harvest, meet the local farmers and craftspeople, and dance to local music for the rest of the afternoon. There will be plenty of yummy locally grown, organic food to eat now and bring home for later.
