Explore the world of Football Photography Workshop with TCP Photo at Case Western University!We are offering another unique opportunity to photograph an NCAA Division 3 college football game from the sidelines.
Case Western Reserve University will kick off against Carnegie Mellon University at 2:00pm their annual senior day and last game of the season. We will have limited spots for this event. Parking and entry into the stadium with pizza lunch will be included.
Photographers will get the opportunity to come to a college football game and capture the pregame festivities, warm-ups, cheerleaders, the band and fans. Participants will then get to photograph the game from the field / sidelines and end zone. There will be designated spots for the photographers as well as professionals on site to help with settings as well as spotting plays.
Participants should have a good grasp on manual settings in your DSLR. Zoom lenses and longer telephoto lenses are a must.
Pixel Connection will offer rental specials specifically designed for this day. Recommended lenses are a 70-200, 300 mm, 400 mm, or some sort of zoom between the 100 and 500 range. Wide lenses also offer a unique perspective while band, cheerleading and game action. This is a day game so F-stop and light is not as important but one should make sure they still have a fast and supporting lens and camera body. Participants are responsible for their own gear and providing their own weather-appropriate clothing as this event will go on rain or shine or snow.
Included in this event will be a half an hour optional meeting most likely held at Pixel Connection to cover ground rules, settings and lens questions as well as any other miscellaneous questions participants may have.
This event is expected to sell out as the baseball workshops have as well. We will limit the number of participants due to NCAA requirements so an early sign up is recommended.
Attendees will get the opportunity to photograph from the sidelines during the game with onsite help from TCP Photo! Participants will learn sports / football shooting basics as well as sports settings and camera tips to maximize the sports photography experience. Attendee will be able to add high level football photos to their personal portfolio
