About this Event
Foot pain and discomfort can make everyday activities more difficult—but it doesn’t have to be part of getting older. Join us for an informative session that focuses on the most common foot problems affecting older adults and how to manage them effectively to maintain mobility, comfort, and independence.
This presentation will explore common issues such as plantar fasciitis, rigid toe, diabetic foot, numbness, tingling, and neuropathy. You’ll learn about the underlying causes, how these conditions progress over time, and practical steps you can take to prevent or reduce symptoms.
We’ll also discuss the role of physiotherapy and chiropractic care in managing foot health, and introduce helpful products such as orthotics, compression stockings, and orthopaedic footwear. You’ll even get an overview of an innovative neuropathy treatment option, and how it works to reduce pain and improve sensation.
Whether you’re experiencing foot discomfort now or looking to stay proactive, this session will give you practical tools and knowledge to take confident steps forward—literally!
This event is hosted in collaboration with the Grand River Council on Aging (GRCOA), and takes place at their centre located at:
