CAKE FÊTE
Bundt, pound, jello, sponge, or that grocery store sheet cake with the neon flowers on it. If it's cake, it's welcome. and invite you to the 2nd Annual Cake Fête on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 5-8 pm at Vermilionville, 300 Fisher Rd.
Cake Fête is a community celebration of all things CAKE! This year’s event will be held at Vermilionville with outdoor games, live music by Braziliana, a Cake Pull sale and a canned food drive benefiting The Lafayette Community Fridge.
There’s only 1 rule:
No Cake. No Entry. No Exceptions.
Seriously. To gain entry into the “Cake Room” you’ll have to bring a cake (and a serving knife). Any cake will do–homemade or store bought, so long as it’s cake it counts as your entry!
Anyone without a cake is welcome to mingle on the beautiful grounds of Vermilionville.
How to Cake Fête:
Check your cake in when you arrive (no earlier than 4:30pm) and you'll get a wristband and a box, provided by , for your cake samples. When your group is called, you’ll get access to the Cake Room to sample everything everybody brought.
Only wristbands get in the sampling room. No exceptions, no "I'm just looking." or “she doesn’t even have teeth”.
No Cake. No Entry. No Exceptions.
Live music by Braziliana
Presented by . Find yourself a spot on the grounds, and let the samples and the music do their thing.
Don’t worry–there will be a cash bar and concessions available for purchase on site to help you keep your energy flowing.
Cake pulls, $20 a pull
Stop by the table fora new twist on an old tradition! Pull a ribbon and you might walk away with jewelry from a local jeweler. All proceeds supports the Lafayette Community Fridge Project.
Canned food drive
Help us stock the Lafayette Community Fridge by bringing a canned good for the donation box sponsored by Tropical Smoothie.
Family-friendly, cake connoisseurs young and old welcome.
