The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore will host a Winter Relief Mobile Distribution to ease household strain following the holidays, as families manage lingering credit card bills, higher winter utility costs, and ongoing impacts from the recent federal government shutdown.This distribution will take place from 9 am to 1 pm (while supplies last) on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater, 3550 Cellar Door Way in Virginia. Enter via Dam Neck Road.
The distribution will include fresh produce, lean protein, and pantry staples for 2,000 households. Pickups are allowed for a maximum of three households per vehicle. Arrive with your trunk empty and ready, remain in your vehicle with it in park, and end phone calls while waiting to be called forward.

They recognize that large-scale distributions serve targeted communities, and they have committed to increasing the distribution of fresh produce and lean protein at mobile pantries throughout January and February in Western Tidewater and on the Eastern Shore, where food access is more limited.
