Book a 2 hour slot between 30th June and 2nd July to help North Bristol & South Glos Foodbank with the Tesco Golden Hill Collection!About this Event
It has never been so critical that foodbanks are able to support those in need, and with the support of our fantastic partner Tesco, you will give your local foodbank a boost in food, funding, and awareness that will help us carry out our mission for a Hunger Free Future!
Key tasks
- Greeting customers.
- Offering advice, shopping lists and leaflets on the best items to donate.
- Engaging with customers to raise awareness about the foodbank.
- Receiving food donations.
- Thanking customers and explaining where their donation is going.
- Sorting food ready for delivery back to the foodbank.
- Loading and unloading of the collection van.
- Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed for yourself and volunteers
Impact of your role
- Maximising food donations to the foodbank
- Raising awareness of the foodbank in your local community
- The weight of food collected is reported to Tesco who generously ‘top up’ the value of the donations by 20%
