Pleasantdale, please bring your donations of canned and boxed food items for the Montpelier Food Pantry to the church picnic at Ouabache State Park today. Foods for diabetics also are welcome, along with household supplies like laundry detergent and softener. A complete list of needed items is available at the church's east entrance.
Our donations support the Montpelier Community Food Pantry at 209 S. Main Street, Montpelier. The pantry helps people with urgent food and household item needs and is open two partial days a week, Monday, 9-4 and Thursday, 4-8.

Community and Family Services, Hartford City, also is delivering once-monthly food boxes, including meats, for Montpelier residents who have signed up with the agency in advance.
The first delivery was on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, in Montpelier at the Nazarene Church. Hours were 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 45 families were served. These deliveries will continue every second week of the month during the same hours until further notice.
People must sign up in advance on the CFS website OR call the CFS office at 765-330-9284 in advance if they or someone they know needs assistance.
Those who are disabled, homebound due to medical conditions, or who lack transportation may arrange in advance for home deliveries. If someone has a food emergency in between monthly food box deliveries, they should call the CFS office for help.
