Every culture has a dumpling and in my humble opinion, the Eastern European/Central Asian varieties HARDLY get the attention they deserve.

Let's change that.

Join me for a dumpling and savory pastry crawl through Brighton Beach highlighting the dough wrapped morsels of Ukraine, Russia, Uzbekistan and more. We'll slurp the broth from juicy Georgian khinkali, bite into the flaky crusts of Uzbek samsas, and dunk Ukrainian vareniki into creamy sour cream. I mean, I'm salivating even writing this.

My passion for dumplings knows no bounds but this particular food crawl hits close to home, as I come from an Eastern European immigrant family. Vareniki are a love language and I can't wait to share mine with you.
