A FOOD FOREST is a multi-layered plant system that supports ecosystem health and provides abundant food. It includes trees for fruit, habitat, and services, with supporting plants that protect soil, support pollinators, and add beauty. The goal is to create a functional, enjoyable landscape.
What you Will Learn:
• How to future-proof your yard by designing an edible landscape.
• How to create abundant, productive, and layered landscapes that mimic nature’s ecosystems.
• How to incorporate compatible plants like fruit trees, berries, canes, ground covers, and medicinal plants.
• Design systems that support you, the plant community, the soil, and the ecosystem.
