Food for Thought: The Protein Gap
About this Event
Protein needs rise with age while intake tends to fall, often while people are actively trying to eat less. We'll cover why muscle matters for blood sugar and energy, how much protein is realistic at each meal, and how to close the gap at breakfast - where the shortfall is usually biggest. The emphasis is on adding, not restricting. Demo: The ten-minute protein bowl - a microwave grain pouch, pre-cooked chicken strips, chickpeas, baby spinach, jarred roasted peppers, feta, and a shaken tahini dressing. About 35 grams of protein, no cooking, and every component deliberately a shortcut.
