Agenda for Volunteer Meeting:1. Brainstorm on using FH kitchen
2. Volunteer list for FH kitchen
3. Frequency/dates for cooking at FH (Saturday's only)
4. Food Handling Certificates
5. Communication
6. Freezer/fridge storage update (Storefront Humber).
MNO: Info to share with Volunteers
1. Set up at 5:30. Begin serving at 6:00 sharp.
2. Floaters to manage individuals and crowd (ie: managing aggressive and rude individuals).
3. Managing how much people take (Items need to be bagged in small portions).
4. Crowd control. Pylons in front of tables until 6:00pm start time. Volunteer to stand at front of line to manage flow of traffic.
5. Hold some food portions back to accommodate those who arrive later.
6. Change the location of barbecues to the wall.
7. Volunteers to be aware of individuals who might need some individual attention and direct a floater to that person.
8. Garage sale at FHCC Saturday, May 25th.
Franklin Horner Community Centre has generously offered Food for Now (FfN) use of their kitchen on Saturdays to cook for our Monday Night Outreach (MNO).
While many may wish to continue to prep from home, others have expressed an interest in cooking as a group.
We will have an orientation of kitchen procedures, safety and use of appliances. Following the orientation, we will have a meeting for volunteers to brainstorm, plan and hang out:)
Looking forward to seeing those interested on Saturday.
