Join us! On Saturday Nov 19 at 9:00am, we are meeting in the gym at Masonboro Baptist to pack food for children in Haiti. We are reminded, as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, of the many ways in which God has blessed us. As we consider our blessings, we are compelled to respond with gratitude and with obedience to the teaching of the Lord Jesus. Jesus instructs his people to care for the least. And we’ve been given an opportunity to do exactly that.
Haiti is one of the poorest nations in the world. No one suffers worse in Haiti than children. We at Masonboro Baptist are partnering with Hope Changes Everything to feed hundreds of hungry children in Haiti.
On Saturday, November 19th at 9am, we will host a food packing event for these kids. In addition, we need to raise money to buy the food. One dollar buys 4 meals. For the vast majority of the kids who will receive these meals, they will be the only hot meals they get. Through your generosity, you can ensure that hundreds of kids will get at least one hot meal a day in the name of Jesus.
Our goal is to raise $3000 for food. If we exceed that goal, then that means even more meals will go to Haiti. Every dollar donated goes to buy and ship food to Haiti. You can contribute to this event by writing “Haiti” on the memo line of your check made out to Masonboro Baptist or by choosing the Haiti fund as an option in online giving on the church websiteor in the church app.
