- Examine the psychological benefits of rituals recipes, such as holiday dishes
- Understand the role of food in storytelling in Myths, Legends, Folk Tales & more
We’ll start with an interactive lesson that includes activities and an informative take-home packet. This will be followed by a hands-on craft tutorial on food printing. We will provide:
Tote Bag, 2 pieces of Newsprint paper, Paper Towels for practice, Paint, Brushes & Sponge Brushes.
Food for Printing: Apples, Lemons & Potatoes precut for your convenience
Light Refreshments
Feel free to bring along any additional fabric you'd like to experiment with. You can invite a friend or family member for a fun, unique acitivity. My hope is that everyone will walk away with some new information and question things they alreay thought about myths, legends and history. Also you'll know how to do Food Printing and can try out different techniques later on. This is my first workshop and I am so excited and I hope to see you there!!!
Ages 18+
These aren’t Disney’s Fairy Tales. We will explore some of the darker and more scandalous themes of Myths and Legends. Topics are intended for adults.
Important to Note: If you allergic to Lemons this is not the Workshop for you. We use lemon juice as a natural perservative for the food for printing to keep them fresh and crisp.
Also the paint we are using is for fabric so if you get it on your clothes it likely won't come out. Wear an outfit you'd be okay getting a few drops of paint on.
