Food & Film 2025

After the sucess of our Food & Film event last year we have decided to do it all again - this time with an Italian theme.

On arrival at the nursery there is limited parking on site, but we have overspill parking at the Jubilee Centre 5 minutes walk up the lane.

Follow the signs to the Event Space - you should also be able to follow your nose as the wood fired pizza oven will be lit. Here you can help yourself to the delicious buffet of salads and fresh pizza. Menu:

Classic Margherita

Aubergine Parmigiana

Courgette & Organic UK Smoked Pancetta

Mixed varieties of Cherry Tomatoes, Basil & Buffalo Mozzarella

Salads:

Tomato Panzanella

Beetroot, Black Lentil & Feta Salad

Herby Potato Salad

Roasted Squash, Browned Butter, Crispy Sage & Cavolo Nero

Green Salad

Dessert:

Brown Butter Apple Cake with Creme Fraiche

Roast Stone Fruit with Almond & Orange Blossom Crumb

If you have time beforehand or whilst waiting for dessert you could have a look at the work on show by local artists and makers - or just enjoy the organic environment of the nursery as the sun is setting.

At about 8.15pm we will move the chairs into the glasshouse so we can all sit and enjoy the screening of 'The Truffle Hunters' at 8.30pm.

The film should be finished by 10pm, please make your way carefully back to your car, or enjoy a moonlit walk if you've come on foot, and have a safe journey home.

Things to bear in mind:

Please try to arrive fairly punctually so you have time to enjoy your meal and everything else on offer.

This event is not designed for children (the film is cert PG13) but do get in touch for more information.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accomodate individual dietary requirements as this is a set menu. As soon as this has been finalised we will publish it here.

We can provide water or apple juice to drink. If you want anything more exciting then please bring a bottle - maybe something red and Italian!

As this is a working farm please be aware that the terrain can be uneven in places and that facilities are limited. The toilet is located in the outbuilding opposite the car park.

We advise that you bring a torch to help you find your way once it is dark.

You may wish to bring a cushion, our seating is not luxurious. And maybe a blanket - just in case!

Tickets are non refundable.

Finally, we may take photos or videos for our publicity. If you don't want to be included in these please let us know.
