Fonte d'Amore Registration

Welcome to the world of traditional Italian Folk dance. Fonte d’Amore is an Italian cultural dance ensemble that proudly celebrates Italian heritage through the education of traditional cultural dances. Through these elements, we provide the opportunity for children and youth aged 5-15 to be empowered and build confidence through Italian dance.

Fonte d’Amore, created by Italian Week Ottawa and developed by the ensemble’s Artistic Director Carina Della Valle, aims to educate and celebrate the rich Italian heritage in Ottawa by providing a safe and inclusive space for children and youth to create connections with others that share the same interests and traditions of Italian culture. Classes are taught by Carina and Vanessa Marinelli.

You do not need to be Italian to participate, just an interest in dance and/or the culture!

We are looking for up to 20 children/youth to form our dance group

Media release by registering you are providing consent to your dancer for Italian Week to photograph, video record, and publish the dancers on their social media and use them for promotional materials. If there are any issues with the following please contact Carina Della Valle directly to arrange accommodations.

Program Fee: $150 plus processing fees per season per child. (October 2023 through June 2024). If you cannot afford this fee, please let us know. This will not affect your child's ability to participate.

Costumes: Costume rental is included in the program fee.

Practices: St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (427 Booth St, Ottawa) Every Thursday from October 26, 2023 – June 16, 2024. Times are subject to change.

Group 1 (ages 5-9) from 5:30 pm - 6:20 pm

Group 2 (ages 9-15) from 6:30 pm - 7:20 pm

Performances at Italian Week Ottawa: Participants will perform at the Italian Week Ottawa events on the following days: up to 5 performances between June 6 to June 16, 2024

Additional performances may be scheduled. A detailed calendar will be provided by Carina Della Valle.
