Fontana Ham Radio Classes

Join our first ham radio class and learn a new hobby. We will cover beginner material using Gordon West’s Technician Class FCC Element 2 Amateur Radio License Preparation book, 10th Edition 2022 to 2026. This class is open to Fontana residents and visitors.

This class is perfect for anyone who wants to understand how radios work, learn how to communicate during emergencies, or begin their path toward earning an FCC amateur radio license. No prior experience is required.

Topics include

• How amateur radio works
• How to talk on a radio
• Local emergency communication basics
• Simple hands-on practice

Class will meet every first Wednesday of the month starting in February until November. There will be no class in May or December.

Class time will be 6:30 PM - 8 PM.
