Fontainebleau Soccer Tournament

Gather your favorite teammates and enter Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s Saturday soccer tournaments on the lush Ocean Lawn. Whether you're a seasoned player or a passionate spectator, this day of back-to-back games will be a fun and fast-paced way to celebrate the soccer season.

Open to hotel guests and Miami locals, this is your chance to show off your skills and compete to win a cabana day (10 people) at Miami Beach’s most iconic resort. Please note food and beverage credit is not included.

Starting Saturday, June 22nd, tournaments will occur weekly from 10AM – 1PM until July 20th. Additional rules are below.

Teams: Teams will consist of three players on the field with two substitutes.

Format: This will be a single elimination tournament. Each team will take three penalty kicks to decide the winner in the case of a tie.

Registration: All players must complete a waiver and be officially registered to ensure a fair and safe playing environment. Walk-ons are allowed to register for the tournament until 9:00 AM on Saturday.

Game Duration: Get ready for non-stop action with 10-minute halves, totaling 20 minutes of excitement.

Scoring: Goals must be scored from beyond the midfield line and outside of the opposition’s box.

Goal Box: There is no ball contact allowed within the goal box, however, any player may pass through the goal box.

If a player from the defending team touches the ball inside of his own goal box, the first time the offensive team will be awarded a penalty kick.

If the ball comes to rest in the goal box, a goal kick is awarded regardless of who touched the ball last.

Five-Second Rule: All free kicks, corner kicks, and kick-ins must be played in five seconds or a free kick will be awarded to the opposing team.

Five-Feet Rule: Defending players must keep a five-foot distance from the ball on all kick-ins, free kicks, and goal kicks.

Kick-Ins: Instead of throw-ins and are indirect. The ball must be played in five seconds.

Free Kicks: All free kicks, kick-offs, penalty kicks, and corners are direct. The ball must be played in five seconds.

Penalties: Penalty kicks are taken from full field with no rebound. After five fouls in the same half, the opposing team will get a penalty kick.

Yellow Cards: A yellow card means a player must sit out for 1 minute, leaving their team down a player.
