Life has many challenges and difficulties; we have the capacity to learn from those. This presentation will be interactive – we learn resiliency through shared information and narratives by optimizing our experiences.

Miriam Lacher is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching. She retired from Sarasota Memorial Hospital after 30 years in the department of addictions treatment as well as an administrator in the department of psychiatry. She was also a consultant and educator in the department of education at the Hospital. Presently she is a volunteer instructor at ACE, the Adult and Community Enrichment program for Sarasota County, and facilitates a women’s growth/support group.
