Open to all levels of dancers. We will create our own joyful dance community as we learn folkloric dance from the Middle East and North Africa. All the dances include classic belly dance moves -- shimmies, undulations, level changes, percussive hip work, elegant arms -- with unique twists, literal and figurative. Beginning dancers will learn basic movements in a relaxed community style. More experienced dancers will add new skills and styling to their repetoire.
