Annuir is Fiona McVicar (fiddle/vocals) and Ken O’Neill (octave mandolin/guitar) — two of Sydney’s most respected Celtic musicians, known to many through Kejafi — joined by their daughter Ais on whistle. Though newly formed, Ais is already NSW Folk Federation Young Artist of the Year 2024, and together they bring a sound that is deeply rooted in the Irish and Scottish tradition and unmistakably alive. Song Brother brings together Anthony Woolcott, Miguel Heatwole and Sophie Moore in a trio built on 25 years of Gaelic singing tradition. Three voices, close harmony, and a bodhrán, weaving old folk songs with unexpected journeys, from Tolkien’s Middle Earth to reimagined prog-rock. “An exquisite intertwining of heavenly voices.” — Fran Robertson, Numeralla.
