Folk Music Masterclass with Jenn Butterworth & Laura-Beth Salter

Jenn and Laura-Beth are going to host an exciting folk masterclass where they will talk about their career on the trad scene, play & sing some of their originally composed tunes and go into the details of techniques for both instruments they play: guitar and mandolin. Both artists will explore the tunings commonly used in traditional folk music (including trending DADGAD), demonstrating fingerstyle technique on guitar and mandolin as well as teach the audience about the secret of keeping up with the jigs and reels’ time signatures whilst driving rhythm.

Jenn and Laura-Beth will also go into the topic of composition and arrangement in folk music and finally run an open Q&A session with the audience.
