The Saturday Folk College evening concert features Scott Ainslie, a brilliant guitarist and storyteller who draws from the well of American blues, a modern blues legend. The foursome of High Horse brings youthful energy, close harmonies, and a bluegrass-inspired sensibility to their music. By way of contrast, the string trio (violin/viola/cello) of Midnight on the Water takes the listener on a mind-bending journey through melodies sourced from the folk-classical-big band-jazz-musical theater traditions and merged in barely imaginable ways.The concert is at 7 pm at Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts on the Juniata College campus in Huntingdon, PA. The concerts are open to the public, with tickets available in advance and at the door.
