Folk College, held May 23 - 25 at Juniata College in central PA, is a fun and friendly weekend for folk musicians of all levels, from absolute beginner to professional level.

Faculty includes host band Simple Gifts, the music of South & North Americas with Acoustic Nomads, the English, Celtic & Baroque music of The Chivalrous Crickets, the progressive acoustic bluegrass sound of High Horse, the country blues sound of the Piedmont Bluz Acoustic Duo, and multi-genre trad Midnight on the Water, singer, songwriter and humorist Jamie Anderson, the fusion of traditional fiddle tunes, jazz, tango, classical, and more with Midnight on the Water, and more. Musicians of all instruments and levels are welcome, and there are also choices for non-musicians who want to listen, learn, and experiment with folk music. Each evening features a faculty concert followed by faculty-led jam sessions. Saturday after the concert, we hold a contradance with an open band.
You'll also have an opportunity to be coached by a professional musician in a band setting and to perform in the student concert. Professional development will be offered for school teachers, including Act 48 credit for Pennsylvania teachers.
