Join us to get up close and personal with Nevada’s state fossil, Shonisaurus popularis, commonly known as Ichthyosaur. Learn about this giant marine reptile from the Triassic period and of those who have ventured out into the mountains and desert landscapes of Nevada in search of their fossils.
Every 2nd Friday of the Month you can visit the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas and enjoy themed museum experiences, offering guided gallery tours, collection highlights, and hands-on activities centered on a focused topic. Walk-ins are welcome.
Join us from 1PM-2PM every 2nd Friday of the month.
$5 suggested donation. Your donation directly supports our educational programming at the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas.
