Focus Expat Cinema: every Wednesday at 19:00 foreign language movies with English subtitles!
You might have been in Focus Filmtheater before, watching an English spoken movie or even a movie without any dialogues at all. But we are aware that you might miss a lot: so many wonderful movies are made by talented directors from all over the world, spoken in many different languages. Rather frustrating isn’t it. No more despair: from now on, we are going to show English subtitled films every Wednesday at 19:00!

May 18th - SPECIAL - ASIAN MOVIE NIGHT: THE FLAVOR OF GREEN TEA OVER RICE
One of the ineffably lovely domestic sagas made by Yasujiro Ozu at the height of his mastery,is a sublimely piercing portrait of a marriage coming quietly undone.
May 25th - ICH BIN DEIN MENSCH
I’m Your Man (Ich bin dein Mensch) is a comic-tragic tale about the questions of love, longing, and what makes a human being human.
June 1st - NINJA BABY
Ninjababy is a funny and unpolished Norwegian drama from director Yngvild Sve Flikke about a young cartoonist who turns out to be 6 months pregnant to her surprise.
June 8th - EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE
A hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can’t seem to finish her taxes and is catapulted into an ever-changing multiverse.
June 22nd - ILLUSIONS PERDUES (LOST ILLUSIONS)
Costume drama, awarded no less than seven Césars, about a young poet who moves to Paris in the mid-19th century to try his luck.
June 29th - EL BUEN PATRÓN (THE GOOD BOSS)
Award-winning tragicomedy about a factory owner (Javier Bardem) who – in the hunt for a business award – feverishly tries to solve all the problems with his employees.
July 6th - HIT THE ROAD
Panah Panahi, son and collaborator of embattled Iranian master Jafar Panahi, makes a striking feature debut with this charming, sharp-witted, and deeply moving comic roadmovie.
July 13th - WHEEL OF FORTUNE AND FANTASY
An unexpected love triangle, a failed seduction trap and an encounter that results from a misunderstanding. Directed by Ryûsuke Hamaguchi (Drive My Car).
