At Sound Waves, Joelโs appearances have evolved into something special. Each return becomes an All-Star Blues Jam, curated by Joel and fueled by the best blues musicians in South Florida. In 2016, just days after Princeโs passing, Joel took the stage and sang Purple Rain. As the song unfolded, the sky shifted to a soft lavender hue, and a light mist began to fall. Everyone went still. You may not see it on the videoโbut if you were there, you felt it.
In the years that followed, Joel returned with evolving All-Star Blues Jams - nights fueled by friendship, generosity, and deep musicianship.
