It's that time again to clean up our park! What is Adopt-A-Spot?
Adopt-A-Spot is a cooperative partnership between the public/private sector and Lee County. It is a litter abatement and beautification program that provides community groups* tools and supplies to “adopt” and improve the appearance of specific locations in their community. Participants agree to perform four cleanups a year to remove litter and debris. Adoptions greatly enhance the appearance of our community and go a long way to reducing the debris from entering our waterways and polluting the natural habitats of our native wildlife.
We're excited to have adopted John Yarbrough Linear Park. Please join us on for a walk/skate group clean up and keep one of our most favorite skate spots looking beautiful!
Remember to wear your sunscreen and bring water and snacks. You will be provided gloves, trash bags, and garbage pickers, etc. This will count as a special event. 🙂
