We’re celebrating the great canaries—the female vocalists who started with popular big bands such as Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, and Benny Goodman—who went on to spectacular solo careers after spreading their wings and creating their own sounds and style. The Champian Fulton Trio and special guests, Jane Monheit and Carmen Bradford, take the stage to swing the music of the jazz canaries including Billie Holiday, Anita O’Day, Lena Horne, Peggy Lee, Jo Stafford, Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald, and others.
