About this Event

Flying Buffaloes -

Movement--a word that bears special meaning for Nashville-based Alt-Country rockers Flying Buffaloes. From their aptly-titled 2017 debut TAKING OFF EP and their 2019 debut album LOADED & ROLLIN’, to the band’s very name, they’ve had their sights set on a forward trajectory, no matter the obstacle. The formation of the band is the quintessential Nashville story: five musicians, drawn like moths to the neon lights of the city’s famed Lower Broadway, converge to form a band. Fueled by their desire to deliver the organic energy of rock-n-roll coupled with the lyrical honesty of classic country, Flying Buffaloes have found themselves opening for a range of acts including iconic rockers Drivin N Cryin as well as acclaimed Red Dirt Country artist Wade Bowen, in addition to headlining tours throughout the South and Midwest.

Between performance dates, Flying Buffaloes secured Grammy award-winning Jeremy Ferguson (Cage The Elephant / Andrew Combs) to produce LOADED & ROLLIN’. Recorded at Ferguson’s Battle Tapes Studio in East Nashville, the album explores the isolation and depression associated with immigration, the ups and downs of love, and the essence of what it means to be a working Nashville band.

When work and life came to a grinding halt in March 2020, the band refocused their energy on creating new music. The fruits of their labor will soon see new light. As evidenced by their upcoming single, “A New Day is Gonna Dawn,” (produced by Donnie Reis at his East Nashville studio, Twelve 3 South) the future is bright for Flying Buffaloes.

Dauzat St. Marie -

No matter how you pronounce ”Dauzat St. Marie” [though dō’-zaht saynt muh-ree’ would be accurate], the name has certainly been circulating far and wide these past several years through heavyweight touring with heavyweight artists. These two hardcore troubadours have been busy touring all over the U.S. as main support for Grammy® Award winning heartthrob Rick Springfield’s “Stripped Down” solo acoustic show series for the past four years and have peppered in dates with The Marshall Tucker Band, Lindsay Ell, Schuyler Fisk / Sissy Spacek, and Rick Derringer in between. Most recently, the power duo toured the U.S. as main support for legendary music icons Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo.

In early 2020, Dauzat St. Marie were awarded their biggest tour to date – the main support slot on the summer arena tour with Rick Springfield and the world’s best-selling groups of all time – CHICAGO. Sadly, the tour was terminated less than two months before it even began due to Covid-19. Though being handed a tough blow, Dauzat St. Marie didn’t skip a beat – the duo used the forced downtime to begin releasing new music and video via their YouTube channel as soon as the world went into lockdown in March. In less than nine months, the duo had gained over a million YouTube views, and one of their new singles titled “Where Were You?” landed on this year’s Grammy® Awards ballot in three separate categories – Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year, and Best Pop Duo / Group Performance. With pent-up fan demand for their live shows at an all time high, Dauzat St. Marie are prepared to propel to great new heights in the post pandemic world.

Black Dog Friday -

Black Dog Friday is 4 guys with epic beards making dirty, swamp-blues rock in the heart of the Big D. With twangy melodies, muddy slide, gravel/soul vocals, a pounding rhythm section and catchy riffs, they've come to turn the music world on it's ear and redefine what Southern Rock is.
