Join us on Saturday, March 30th, 2024 for a day of Fly Tying instruction! No matter your level of fly tying experience, we have a fly tying course for you. Fly Tying 101 @ 11:00am: This FREE introductory class will give you the basics of fly tying and help give you an opportunity to decide if it’s something you’d like to pursue further, without having had to buy all the tools and materials first. We do require a $25 deposit to hold your spot for the event and that $25 will be given back to you as a store credit at the event when you show up.
Fly Tying 201 @ 12:00pm: Our 201 course will give anyone the basic skills and knowledge needed to enjoy and pursue the wonderful art of fly tying. members will learn about the basics of: Equipment (Vises, tools, & accessories), Materials (what to look for and how to utilize them), Basic Techniques (How to perform the most common fly tying procedures and proper form), & Tie Flies (Your Instructor will walk you through the step by step procedure for tying several popular & universal fly patterns). The course registration is only $100.
Fly Tying 301 @ 2:00pm: With a smaller group sizes then our Fly Tying 101 or 201 classes so that participants can get more individual feedback and attention from the instructors. Learn the basics of more advanced techniques and how to continuously perfect these skills with this 3hr class. Class includes hands-on instruction covering Spinning Deer Hair. The course registration is only $100.
