Yes, you can fly fish in Central Illinois!
Get an introduction to fly fishing. Learn how to cast a fly line, how to tie on a fly and what flies to use for bass and panfish.
The Sierra Club HOI Group and the Oakbrook Chapter of Trout Unlimited are partnering to offer a fly fishing clinic. All equipment provided. One-on-one instruction for 60 minutes in intervals from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th.
Wildlife Prairie Park’s Outdoor Fun Extravaganza Weekend will showcase hiking, paddle sports, fishing, geocaching, cycling, laser tag, and Dutch oven cooking. Participants will also have the opportunity to camp under the stars
* You don’t need a fishing license to participate in the instruction, but if you want to put on a hook to catch fish you will need a valid Illinois fishing license.
WPP Member Tickets: $5 per Guest per Day.
Non-Member Tickets: $14 per Guest per Day. Overnight Group Site Camping Included.
