Durango’s San Juan Angler fly fishing shop will be hosting a FREE Fly Fishing 101 class at the Pine River Library on Saturday, July 24 from 10-11:30am. The fly shop is on a mission to introduce as many people as possible of any age and gender to the sport of fly fishing. Come learn the basics of setting up a fly rod, beginner casting skills, and entomology (bugs). The San Juan Angler’s guides will provide all the gear, equipment, and tackle needed for the class, but if you have your own rod and would like to practice with it, please bring it along.
