Preparing yourself for the flu season is more important than ever during the pandemic!The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report that millions of people get seasonal flu every year. For most people, the flu is mild, but it can be very serious and even cause death. An annual flu vaccine is the first and best way to protect yourself and others against influenza.
AMITA is bringing prevention to you: Flu Vaccination Clinics will be available at Centro de Información at the following locations:
Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 10 am – 12 pm Centro de Información, 1885 Lin Lor Ln, Elgin
Friday, October 8, 2021, 10 am – 12 pm Centro de Información, 3036 Wakefield Dr, Carpentersville
Wednesday, October 20, 2021, 3:30 – 5 pm Centro de Información, 2380 Glendale Terrace #8, Hanover Park
What you need to know.
∙ Help is available for individuals that might not have the resources to cover the cost of the vaccine.
∙ If you’re 45 to 75 years, you may also receive a free FOBT (Fecal Occult Blood Test) take-home testing kit.
