Flower Writing Workshop at D'Griot Cafe

In continuation of the theme of her artist-in-residence installation at Germantown Radio Station’s front window, join artist and musician Birdie Busch in this relaxed and fun hang of writing poetry and songs inspired by flowers.
Birdie has taught creative workshops in various settings and institutions for people of all ages, from Kelly Writer's House to Fleisher Art Memorial, getting folks to participate in the grand yet simple act of writing as a way to tap into core memories, present moments, and future dreaming. For this afternoon session, expect fun and playful prompts to get you thinking, with flowers as the jumping off point. All you need to do is bring yourself and your desire to be creative!
While this event is free, Birdie encourages you to support locally run d’griot cafe by enjoying their food and beverage offerings, as well as their herbal apothecary and gift area. Feel free to stop past the radio station's storefront across the way at 24 Maplewood Mall before or after to see the window installation.
