Flower Pound - Botanical Printing - Class

Use local native flowers and greenery to express natural dye compounds found in the petals and stems of flowering plants and vines as a bridge between natural dyes and printmaking.
Students will participate in a flower pound session using a variety of different surfaces that include both papers and pre-mordanted fabric to create sampler prints that can be used in book making, mixed media or embellished for future use. An exploration of force and color!
