Headed up by Grammy winner Christian Tumalan, Montuno Swing is a fresh West Coast salsa band with a big band sound.
Montuno Swing features a top-tier collection of Latin Jazz musicians from across the United States and Latin America, weaving together a rich and diverse collection of sounds under one seamless banner. The band’s infectious rhythm section is accompanied by thundering brass and out-of-this-world piano solos that combine to put a new twist on classic Latin favorites. The result is a band that is loved for its musical talents as well as it’s dance-ability.
Under Christian’s leadership, Montuno Swing has become recognized as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s hottest Latin bands.

What is the Flower Piano Lounge?
During Flower Piano 2025, the Celebration Garden in the Botanical Garden will be transformed into the Flower Piano Lounge, an upgraded musical landscape featuring priority entry to the festival, special performances from local headliners, access to premium bars, food from local makers, lounge seating, dedicated restrooms, and flexibility to relax and enjoy all areas of the festival at will.
