RADIONICA FLOW DYNAMICS
Zbog čega u plesu pokret izgleda tečno i glatko?
Koja vrsta mehanike pruža kvalitetu organskog pokreta?
Ova je radionica posebno osmišljena za one koji žele integrirati elemente suvremenog plesa u svoju praksu.
U ovoj dvodnevnoj radionici istražit ćemo flow i kvalitete organskog pokreta, istražujući tehnike koje pružaju jasnoću i fluidnost učinkovitijim korištenjem strukture našeg tijela. Velika pozornost posvetit će se smanjivanju napetosti mišića u potrazi za jasnoćom i fluidnošću, učinkovitijim korištenjem zglobova, strukture kostiju i disanja. Kretat ćemo se između viših i nižih razina – koristeći pod - uz minimalan napor i istražujući različite mogućnosti za glatke prijelaze. Također ćemo se poigrati s prijenosom težine, prostornom sviješću i različitom dinamikom pokreta – oscilirajući između eksplozivnosti i otpuštanja. Duboko se bavimo analizom povezanosti pojedinih pokreta i njihovog lančanog djelovanja na kralježnicu i ekstremitete tijela, kao i važnosti svijesti o vektorima pokreta. Učit će se alati za upravljanje energijom kao način poboljšanja sposobnosti trošenja samo potrebne količine energije za izvođenje određenih pokreta.
Radionica je razvijena na vrlo fizički i dinamičan način, napredujući od vježbi improvizacije, preko rada na podu i stojećih vježbi, do koreografskih kompozicija. Radit ćete na profinjen i osjetilan način, ali svakako možete očekivati da ćete se znojiti i vježbati!
UČITELJICA:
CAROLINE ALVES, sa sjedištem u Berlinu, plesačica je, učiteljica i koreografkinja s preko 20 godina iskustva. Nakon srednje škole sedam godina je bila članica ansambla državne kompanije Cia. de Dança Palácio das Artes. Također je diplomirala psihologiju (PUC-Minas, Brazil) i razvila istraživanje kreativnog procesa u plesu. Otkako se 2013. preselila u Berlin, aktivna je članica Grupo Oito, a također i dio izvedbenog eksperimentalnog kolektiva Machine to Become. Svoju prvu cjelovečernju koreografiju TRANSATLANTICA premijerno je izvela u English Theatre Berlin 2022. Od 2016. redovito drži tečajeve suvremenog plesa u Berlinu, a vodila je i radionice na raznim lokacijama diljem Europe i Brazila. Njezin rad kao učiteljice je karakteriziran visokom tjelesnošću i prožet radom na podu, tehnikama kontakt improvizacije, somatskim praksama, tehnikama improvizacije i kompozicije, capoeirom i uvidima iz Get Physical Process - prakse koju koristi Grupo Oito, a koju je razvio Ricardo de Paula. FLOW DYNAMICS WORKSHOP
What makes a dancing body looks fluid and smooth?
What kinds of mechanics provides an organic movement quality?
This workshop is specially designed for movers interested in integrating contemporary dance elements in their practice.
In this 2-day workshop, we will investigate flow and organic movement qualities, exploring techniques that provide clarity and fluidity by using our body structure more efficiently. Close attention will be given to minimizing muscular tension in the search for clarity and fluidity, utilizing the joints, bone structure, and breath more efficiently. We will navigate between higher and lower levels - going in and out of the floor - using minimum effort and exploring various possibilities for smooth transitions. We will also play with weight shifting, spatial awareness, and different movement dynamics – oscillating between attack and release. We delve deep into analyzing the connection between certain movements and their chain effect on the spine and body extremities, as well as the importance of being conscious of movement vectors. Energy management tools will be taught as a way to improve the ability to spend only the necessary amount of energy in order to perform certain movements. The workshop is developed in a very physical and dynamic way, progressing from improvisation exercises, moving on to floor work, then to standing exercises, leading to choreographic compositions. You will work in a refined and sensory way, but you can definitely expect to sweat and work out!

THE TEACHER
CAROLINE ALVES, based in Berlin, is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer with over 20 years of experience. After high school, she joined the Brazilian state company Cia. de Dança Palácio das Artes for seven years. She also graduated in Psychology (PUC-Minas, Brazil) and developed a research on creative process in dance. Since moving to Berlin in 2013, she has been an active member of Grupo Oito and also part of the performance experiment collective Machine to Become. She premiered her first full-length choreography, TRANSATLANTICA, at English Theatre Berlin in 2022. Since 2016, she has been giving regular contemporary dance classes in Berlin, and she has conducted workshops in various locations across Europe and Brazil. As a teacher, her work is characterized by being highly physical, and informed by floorwork, contact improvisation techniques, somatic practices, improvisation & composition techniques, capoeira and insights from the Get Physical Process - a practice used by Grupo Oito and developed by Ricardo de Paula.
