Join us for a unique workshop that weaves together the embodied movement of JourneyDance® with the restorative resonance of a sound bath.

We’ll begin by awakening the body through fluid, intuitive dance—exploring waves of motion, release, and connection to your inner rhythms. No choreography, no performance—just guided movement that invites freedom, presence, and joy.
As the physical flow subsides, we’ll shift into deep stillness. You'll be guided to lie down and receive a soothing sound bath designed to support emotional renewal, nervous system reset, and connection to your inner current. This portion of the workshop uses crystal singing bowls, chimes, and drums to help you drift into a state of peaceful integration.
Whether you’re moving through emotional tides or simply seeking space to breathe and reconnect, this experience is here to support you.
What to bring: A yoga mat, a water bottle, and an eye pillow if you like.
What to wear: Clothes that allow for a full range of movement and layers to help regulate your body temperature during both the active and restful portions.
What’s provided: Additional props (blankets, bolsters, etc.) to support your comfort during stillness.
No dance or meditation experience needed—just come as you are, ready to move, breathe, and receive.

Facilitated by Tessa Bent:
Tessa has been dancing most of her life, beginning with ballet as a child and expanding into modern, breakdancing, salsa, hip hop, and years of dedicated training in Middle Eastern dance. Dance has always been her way home. In 2022, while attending a yoga retreat at Kripalu, Tessa discovered JourneyDance® and immediately felt its healing power. She began her teacher training in 2023 and became a certified JourneyDance® facilitator in 2024. She’s honored to share this transformational practice with others — offering a space to feel more at home in the body, express freely, and process emotions in a supportive, inclusive environment. More recently, she has been exploring sound healing and is currently studying to earn her Level 1 Sound Healing certification through the Sound Healing Academy.
