It’s Woman’s History Month, so let’s celebrate Florida Women! The ones whose names are in the books, the women who wrote the books, the women who were told they couldn’t but did anyways, and the women who were historically denied the right to make their mark at all. This is a comfortably paced ride that will take us through the streets of downtown and down the Hawthorne Trail before we return to the Boxcar at Depot park for a post-ride drink/bite.
Let's Explore Our City!
- The ride begins promptly at 5:00 PM, but check-in starts at 4:30 PM.
- $5 suggested donation per rider please.
- The tour will last about 2 hours and end back at Depot Park/Boxcar.
- Let's be safe! Helmets and personal water are strongly recommended. We will be finishing the ride around dusk so bring lights!
- Parking around Depot can be limited, so bike in if you can.
- If you think you’ll have a drink, please don’t drive!
-If it looks like rain, we will cancel and reschedule.
History Bike Gainesville is a guided bicycle tour in and around Gainesville. We stop at selected historic and prehistoric sites for interpretation and discussion.
