About this Event
This will be a 2-DAY program to obtain the state qualification from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Stormwater, Erosion & Sedimentation Control Inspector Qualification Certificate Program.
The Tier I class (December 3, 2025) provides an introduction to stormwater and erosion and sedimentation control and teaches BMP installers and operators how to properly select, install, and maintain BMPs. This class is a pre-requisite to the Tier II class.
The Tier II class (December 4, 2025) provides additional details on information introduced in the Tier I class, and trains BMP inspectors on the applicable regulations, inspection forms, and enforcement procedures necessary for proper inspection of BMPs. Upon the completion of the Tier II class, a closed-book online examination is administered, and a minimum passing grade of 70 % must be made to obtain the DEP qualification certificate.
FL Licensed General Contractors will earn 8 hours CEUs.
FL Licensed Professional Engineers will earn 8 hours PDHs. FL Professional Engineer’s provide a copy of your passing certificate to the FBPE office.
