License Plate Information:

The Florida State Legislature authorized 41 new specialty license plates during the 2020 Legislative Session which must now meet certain presale thresholds in order to go into production and be seen on Florida’s roads.

In order to be manufactured, each Florida organization, such as the Florida State Beekeeper’s Association, must sell 3,000 presale vouchers within 24 months. Once a plate has met its threshold, it will be manufactured and available to Florida drivers at the Tax Collectors’ offices.

The annual use fees from the sale of the Florida State Beekeepers license plate will be distributed to the Florida State Beekeepers Association to fund outreach and education to raise awareness of the importance of beekeeping to Florida agriculture, and to fund honeybee research and husbandry.
