Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Design for Resiliency

Are you interested in learning how to create a landscape that is attractive, low in maintenance and water use as well as resilient to storm related damage. Join Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ educators Doris Heitzmann and Melissa West for this hands-on class to discuss the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Right Plant, Right Place-Principle. You will learn how to analyze your site condition and selecting appropriate plants. In addition, we will explore the original Ecosystems in Pinellas County and plants that belong and grow successfully in these environments.

Note: There will be a follow-up class in April, where participants can present designs, ideas, and plant lists. Proper planting practices and landscape maintenance will also be discussed.
